We are a group of Christ-followers whose purpose is to cultivate a "heart of worship" to God through song and music. We hold a monthly praise and worship event on the last Saturday of every month.
How did it all start?
Back in April of 1999, founders of Tentmaker's Ministry, Elder John Kang and his wife Laura, felt God lay it upon their hearts to organize a weekly summer conference for the second generation in Toronto. In complete faith and obedience to Him, the first thing they did was organize a weekly prayer meeting specifically for this event. As always, God proved faithful the way He does when it is His will. The theme of the first conference was fittingly, "Deep Waters: Responding In Faith and Obedience"; the speaker was Danny Lehman, director of the Discipleship Training School in Honolulu.
Well over a thousand brothers and sisters in Christ gathered each evening to celebrate and worship the one true God. Without a doubt, His Spirit was present and many were restored by His love and mercy, blessed by the fellowship of believers as well as encouraged and challenged by His call to follow Him. In hope to continue this passionate corporate search after God's heart, Tentmaker's Ministry created "Deep Waters: The Watering Hole".
The "Watering Hole" takes place on the last saturday of each month where people can gather together for times of refreshing through worship, dramas, sharing of the Word, prayer and fellowship. Like in the Old Testament days when all the animals used to gather around one watering hole to drink, it is the prayer that this special evening would be that gathering place regardless of age, nationality or even the state of your relationship with God. It is open for anyone and everyone who will come with open hearts and open ears because God is willing and wanting, but most of all...waiting to bless. |
